Tsunosaki sheer cliff

Highlight

This mountain hill, which straddles Shingu town Tsunosaki and Kamioka town Daijuji, is made of rhyolitic tuff which is almost the whole mountain, but it is partly composed of andesite (Anzan cancer) has entered.
After years of erosion, the hills of weak rhyolitic tuff are gradually scraped off, and only hard andesite appears to have been swept away.
It is described in the eighth-century “Harima-kun Fudoki” and is an unusual natural form that has attracted attention since ancient times.
