Shuen-tei

Highlight

“Tea chamber” was an achievement during the Ansei year (1854-1859) when Tatsuno Tanuki Wakisaka Yasuko was in the position of Kyoto Shoko, and when the temple was fired up, his achievement was in its reconstruction. It is said that it was rebuilt as a Udodo, and it is an elegant Sukiya style architecture that mimics the construction of the Momoyama period, in harmony with gardens, ponds, and Sugigaki.
“Rakuen” was completed with the guidance and naming of the Rishuju 15th Seikei Sen Unmei Senshumuro Oimoto, donated by Higashimaru Shoyu Co., Ltd. in 1958. The layout is a full-scale tea room with a space between the eight tatami and six tatami rooms and the four tatami sheath.
“Osuzumushio” is characterized by the layout and design and structure of the lavish service, residence department, etc. that are elegant in the wind of the workmanship in the work shop of the lord Wakisakaya. The remains of those days are also left under the floor through holes.
On the shores of the pond in front of the tea room are the poets born by Tatsuno, Miki-style “hometown” poem monuments, and Ihara Nishizuru’s monuments.
